About Rosie
My teaching approach focuses on mindfulness, technique awareness, and emotional presence in every aspect of playing. I guide students to pay attention to breathing during practice, helping cultivate calm and focus. Anchoring hand positions and posture are key, creating physical ease and reducing tension so playing feels natural. We explore dynamic control, learning to shape each note with softness, power, and intention. Connecting with phrasing helps your music tell a story, making every line expressive and personal. I provide a calm, supportive space for learners who thrive with patience and gentle guidance. Whether you seek emotional depth, a relaxed practice environment, or physical balance, I adapt lessons to your needs. I encourage mindful listening, intentional movement, and thoughtful expression at every step. Students learn to combine technique with feeling, developing both fluency and musical confidence. From the reflective Campfire Strummer to the energetic Aspiring Rock Star, lessons are tailored to your personality and goals. I’m a guitar tutor with 2 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar. I love working with children, teens, and neurodivergent learners, helping each student find their unique voice. My lessons combine structured creativity with repetition and variation, so learning stays engaging while building strong skills.
I use interactive tools and activities to make practice fun and meaningful. Every student’s journey is different, and I celebrate each step along the way.
Whether you’re learning your favorite songs, improvising, or exploring music theory, I tailor lessons to your goals. I focus on creating a supportive, encouraging environment where mistakes are seen as part of the learning process.
