About Briar
Hello, I’m Briar, originally from Taiwan. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Literature from Taiwan’s leading institution, and I am currently pursuing my master’s degree at LSE. My teaching philosophy is to weave these contemporary interests into our sessions, offering a dynamic and interactive learning experience that is as entertaining as it is educational.
I bring with me three years of experience as a Chinese tutor in Taiwan. I focused on helping students deeply understand Chinese grammar, classical idioms, and word meanings.
My approach to our sessions is grounded in patience, encouragement, and real-world conversation. Learning a language should be an exciting journey, not boring memorisation. I am dedicated to guiding you at your own pace, designing interactive scenarios based on topics you actually enjoy so you can practise speaking without any pressure.
