About Shrishti
I’m a Math tutor with over 3 years of experience and a BA in Mathematics. My academic background focuses on topology and knot theory—fascinating fields that explore the deep properties of shapes, spaces, and continuous transformations. I love helping students see the beauty in abstract mathematics. In my sessions, I use visual aids, models, and real-world examples like molecular structures to make complex ideas more intuitive. I believe that seeing mathematics visually helps students grasp its deeper meaning. Whether we’re analyzing knots or stretching surfaces, I guide students through the logic behind the math. I’ve worked with students from diverse backgrounds—those studying pure mathematics, curious minds from physics, and even artists exploring mathematical patterns. I enjoy showing how topology connects to fields you wouldn’t expect, from biology to design. My teaching style is interactive, patient, and tailored to each student’s way of thinking. My approach to teaching Maths is focused, practical, and results-driven. I help students build strong fundamentals, then guide them towards mastering complex topics through clear explanation and regular practice. Whether it’s school-level Maths or advanced preparation for exams like the SAT, GRE, or GMAT, I tailor each lesson to meet the student’s goals.
I specialize in helping students solve problems under time pressure. We work on speed, accuracy, and identifying shortcuts without sacrificing understanding. Targeted drills and full-length practice tests are key parts of my method. These help students strengthen weak areas, avoid common mistakes, and build the stamina needed for timed exams.
As a Math historian and teacher, I bring context and clarity to concepts that often seem abstract. My lessons are not just about solving problems—they’re about understanding why methods work and how to apply them in different situations. I pay close attention to typical pitfalls and help students develop strategies to avoid them.
