About Fiona
I am an experienced piano tutor with over 12 years of expertise, specializing in jazz harmony, composition, and improvisation. My approach to teaching is tailored to each student's unique needs, ensuring that lessons are engaging and effective for learners of all ages and skill levels. I am passionate about helping my students develop a deep understanding of music theory and practical skills, enabling them to express themselves creatively through the piano.
In addition to my work as a piano tutor, I have a strong background in various musical genres, including classical, pop, and blues. This diverse musical knowledge allows me to provide a well-rounded education, helping students explore different styles and techniques. My goal is to foster a love of music in my students and to inspire them to achieve their musical potential.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, hiking, and exploring new cuisines. These hobbies not only provide a balanced lifestyle but also fuel my creativity and passion for life. I have a keen interest in photography, particularly capturing landscapes and night skies, which allows me to appreciate the beauty of the world around me and bring that inspiration into my music and teaching.
