As a tutor, I mainly aim to create in my students a thorough understanding of concepts and confidence in applying these concepts in answering exam questions and the ability to solve problems they haven't seen before. I create an environment where the student feels comfortable in expressing herself/himself, thus resolving the students’ personal barriers to learning. I don’t encourage students to blindly memorize things nor do I do their assignments for them. I instill skills in problem-solving, logical thought, and the effective use of these skills to do their own assignments.
