About Rifat

I am a final year physics undergraduate at UCL. I have 2+ years of tutoring and mentoring experience. I am an ambitious and driven individual who enjoys motivating young minds by conveying knowledge onto them. I make sure that students gain an in depth understanding of certain topics, which will help them attain their desired grade.

I have concluded my two years of A-Levels at London Academy Of Excellence. Having achieved 4As in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Italian ,I had the opportunity to attend to University College London (UCL) to study Msci Physics. During my first year of A-Levels I have also managed to gain an additional A* in EPQ and an A in As Economics. My interest for maths and sciences allowed me to be one the best performing students during my GCSEs, in which I achieved 5A*. My academic excellence improved even more during A-levels, when I was granted the award of being one the best 20 AS results in the whole school.
During my life as a A-level student I have managed to gain transferable skills by tutoring GCSE students. My first year, I have taught GCSE Maths to a group students in Kingsford Community School every week. This enabled me to gain enough experience in order for me to tutor a bigger group of students in George Green School. During my two years of teaching experiences i have discovered that the best way to understand different concepts is to be able to explain them from scratch. In addition teaching has always been a part of my life as I have been supporting my younger sister with her studies.

I enjoy teaching concepts by illustrating visual explanations. Using this theory I have managed to vary my style of teaching depending on the student’s learning methods and capabilities.
