About Hazel
I believe in celebrating small victories and guiding students through challenges with positive reinforcement. My goal is to instill a love for music and boost confidence in every student, whether they're just starting out or aiming to refine their skills.
I use a clear curriculum that includes practice assignments and progress reviews to keep students on track. This methodical approach helps students develop a solid foundation and see their improvement over time.

For instance, I often use famous pieces to illustrate key techniques and historical context, helping students connect theory with practice. This approach not only enhances understanding but also keeps students motivated and inspired.
I cover a comprehensive range of topics, including: reading sheet music, mastering scales and arpeggios, chord progressions, rhythm exercises, improvisation techniques, classical compositions, jazz standards, sight-reading skills, piano maintenance, and performance techniques. Each topic is introduced progressively, ensuring a solid foundation for each student.
My teaching is structured and organized to provide a clear learning path. Each session is designed to build on previous lessons, allowing students to gradually develop their skills. I use a structured curriculum that includes practice assignments, review sessions, and performance feedback to track progress effectively.
