About Thomas
I have a wide range of experiences in both academia and professional work, which equip me with the teaching and communication skills to understand my tutees' needs and how we can work together to achieve them. I hold a strong belief that a weakness is an overplayed strength, and that guiding principle has led to success in both my previous tutees and my own personal journey I hold a master's in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry from Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford, achieving a 78.3% average. I completed my undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences from UCL, achieving First Class Honours. I have a passion for Theoretical Chemistry and have really enjoyed learning the subject, and I also have a passion for teaching and take great pride in the success of my tutees. One of my previous tutees went from a grade D to an A in A-Level mathematics and went from an E to a B in A-Level Physics. I am confident that I can help you succeed in your academics, giving you the skills and knowledge to reach your dream university.

I have a fundamentals-based approach to teaching, aiming to give my students a strong intuition of the subject matter. My goal is to give my students the skillset and problem-solving ability to successfully tackle future problems in the subject and succeed in their goals. I understand that every person is different, and so every tutee will have a different lesson structure focusing on exactly what they need to succeed. I teach lessons ranging from 30 minutes to three hours. I have previously tutored Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Statistics at GCSE and A-Level for two years. At the undergraduate level, I am open to teaching Physical Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Calculus, Vector Calculus, and Linear Algebra.
