About Maya
My teaching approach focuses on building strong singing skills through breath control, vocal stamina, pitch matching, and resonance shaping. I believe these basics help every singer grow with confidence and protect their voice. Each lesson is designed to strengthen technique while also making singing enjoyable and stress-free. I support students who want to stand out as solo performers by helping them develop expression, tone control, and stage presence. For those who sing in groups or choirs, I guide them in blending, tuning, and listening so they can support the ensemble beautifully. I make sure every learner feels understood, whether they aim to lead a performance or contribute to a group’s harmony. My sessions include warm-ups, vocal exercises, and song practice to make learning practical and effective. I teach students how to control their breath for longer phrases, build stamina for extended singing, and match pitch with accuracy. We also work on shaping resonance to create a richer and more balanced sound. I create a friendly and encouraging space where students can grow without fear. Over time, singers gain confidence in both their technique and musical expression. My goal is to help every student reach their full potential whether performing on their own or as part of a team.

With over 3 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, I bring a creative and artist-focused approach to vocal coaching. I love working with performers who are active in bands, open mic nights, and songwriting sessions. These spaces allow singers to explore their identity, and I help them shape it with confidence. I specialize in genres like Indie Rock, Alt-Pop, and Acoustic Soul, where emotion and authenticity truly stand out.
My coaching includes support in lyric writing, helping you craft meaningful and honest stories. I also focus on vocal texture, guiding you to find colors and tones that match your style. Stage movement and mic technique are key parts of my lessons, as performance is both sound and presence. I help artists feel comfortable on stage so they can deliver impactful performances.
I blend emotional storytelling with technical vocal training to create a balanced learning experience. This helps you connect deeply with your music while building strong vocal habits. Every lesson is designed to help you discover and develop your signature sound.
