About Mabel
I am a French tutor with 10 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Bilingual Education with a French focus. My teaching style is warm, interactive, and centered on real communication. I believe learning French becomes truly powerful when it feels like stepping into the culture itself.
My lessons are built around immersive travel-style conversations that prepare students for real-life situations in French-speaking countries. I guide learners through everyday dialogues, practical expressions, and natural speaking habits. Special attention is given to idiomatic fluency so students can understand how French is actually spoken beyond textbooks. I support learners in building confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing step by step.
Alongside language, I enjoy sharing the beauty of French culture through films, cuisine, traditions, and history. This cultural connection helps students connect emotionally with the language and stay motivated. I adapt my teaching to beginners as well as intermediate learners, ensuring steady and enjoyable progress. My goal is to make French feel alive, meaningful, and accessible for everyone.

My teaching approach for French focuses on making the language simple, practical, and enjoyable for all learners. I build a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation so students feel confident from the start. Listening comprehension is developed through real-life audio, dialogues, and interactive exercises. I give special attention to verb conjugation patterns, helping learners understand and use them naturally in speaking and writing.
Speaking practice is encouraged in every lesson with guided conversations and everyday scenarios. I also include slang and idiomatic expressions so learners can understand how French is spoken in real situations. Reading and writing skills are strengthened through structured exercises and short creative tasks. For those preparing for travel or relocation, I provide useful travel phrases, airport communication, hotel conversations, and daily survival language.
My sessions are designed for both beginners and intermediate learners, with step-by-step progress tracking. I adapt my teaching style based on individual learning speed and goals. I focus on building confidence, especially for learners who are starting fresh or adjusting to a new environment or culture. Practice is consistent and interactive, not just theory based. I also include revision and revision techniques to ensure long term retention. My goal is to help every learner speak French naturally, confidently, and independently in real life situations.
