About Kiara
I was born and raised in California and earned my undergraduate degree in Health Science from Temple University in Pennsylvania. I later pursued my passion for education, earning a Master’s in Education from Temple University before beginning my work at Pilgrim Private School of Los Angeles, where I am now in my second year. With a strong background in instructional design and educational technology, I have worked closely with independent schools within the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) to develop training materials for educators. My expertise spans classroom management, technology integration, and subject-specific instructional strategies, particularly in STEM education. I have designed and implemented professional development courses across various Learning Management Systems (LMS), including Canvas, Adobe Captivate, and Learning Lab. Additionally, I have collaborated with a Quantum AI company, focusing on microlearning techniques to deliver effective, bite-sized instructional content. Beyond my technical expertise, I am deeply passionate about the future of education. I actively explore the potential of Artificial Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Extended Reality (XR) to create immersive, engaging, and transformative learning experiences. I believe that integrating these cutting-edge technologies can enhance comprehension, retention, and student engagement in ways traditional methods cannot. My love for education stems from my mother’s words: “Your education is the one thing no one can take away from you.” Inspired by this, I have dedicated my career to ensuring that every student has access to equitable, differentiated, and high-quality learning experiences. Whether through personalized instruction, innovative technology, or research-backed methodologies, I strive to empower learners to reach their full potential. I look forward to bringing my expertise, enthusiasm, and commitment to education into this role!
