About ML
I'm a graduate of the Masters of Fine Arts program in Creative Writing at the University of Guelph, and I have worked as a writing tutor at the Humber Writing Centre since 2019.
I have been published in multiple poetry journals, including Arc Poetry Magazine, Living Hyphen, and PRUDEmag. I've served as Editor of two literary journals at the University of Toronto, Hart House Review and Acta Victoriana. I also read submissions for the literary journal The Ex-Puritan.

I work with students in one-on-one sessions with a teaching approach that is patient, collaborative, compassionate, and precise. Come to me with what you'd like to work on and what you'd like to learn, and I will do my best to accommodate you.
With 10+ years of writing, editing, and teaching, I can help you get started on your papers and creative projects, point out areas of concern, teach the mechanics of English grammar, APA and MLA citation styles, and any other concerns related to writing.
If you're a high school or college or university student, I can help you become a stronger and more skilled writer. I am experienced in working with ESL students and writers of all skill levels. In terms of subject, I have the most experience teaching the humanities (especially Creative Writing and English), social sciences, and nursing.
I work with an anti-oppressive framework, meaning I am against racism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism. Given that, I also acknowledge that learning is a lifelong process and that we are all capable of making mistakes. I will listen to you in good faith and hope you will do the same for me.
