About Aarti
I have been actively involved in Teacher Education for the past 17 years. I was a Senior Lecturer in Spanish/Linguistics at the University of Trinidad and Tobago for 10 years during which I delivered content and skills-based courses related to the teaching of Spanish/English in kindergarten, elementary, and high school.
I therefore have a wealth of teaching experience at all levels of the educational ladder: preschool, primary, secondary, and tertiary. I also pursued Ph.D. studies with a focus on language integration. This has equipped me to pitch integrated lessons in English/Spanish for a diverse student population.

My teaching approach is adaptable to your learning needs. This means I tailor my lessons to WHAT you want to learn; HOW you learn best; and WHY you are learning. I prefer to use a learner-centered style that focuses on your needs and expectations.
I mix games, songs, videos, and playful competition in my lessons so that you enjoy the learning process. I have taught students from as young as 2 years old to as mature as 60 years old. In other words, I have a lot of experience planning and tailoring lessons that suit individual needs.
My class typically begins with a review, new content, practice of new content, assessment of new content, and final summary. Listening, speaking, reading, writing, and culture are mixed throughout.
