About David Jayden
Singing should never feel like standing under a spotlight with all your flaws exposed. In my studio, it’s the opposite—I’ve built a space where singers feel safe to take risks, make mistakes, and surprise themselves. Every lesson is built on trust, laughter, and curiosity. We work hard, but we also have fun, because growth comes faster when you’re comfortable enough to let go. I believe your voice is more than just sound—it’s your story, your power, your release. Whether you’re singing pop, jazz, Broadway, or something you made up on the spot, my job is to help you feel confident, expressive, and free. We’ll dig deep, but we’ll also laugh hard. You’ll leave lessons not just with stronger technique, but with more joy, passion, and connection to your own voice. This is a place where every singer belongs. No judgment, no limits—just honest work, shared excitement, and the thrill of discovering what your voice can do.

Think of me as a master mechanic for the voice — I can hear exactly what’s holding you back and give you the right tool to fix it fast. With 25 years of teaching and coaching, I’ve built a library of unique explanations and exercises that make real results happen immediately. As a performer, I live in both worlds: either at the piano bar performing every genre under the sun, or in the theatre — directing and music directing over 100 productions. Add in two degrees in songwriting and music production, deep chops in music theory, and years of arranging and orchestrating, and you get lessons that are practical, creative, and customized to you! Whether you dream of Broadway, want to own the mic at karaoke, or just love to sing for fun, I’ll help you unlock your best voice and bring out your most authentic, bold, and sincere performance. (Pop and Rock singers should know enough about acting to really hook in the audience! - Just Sayin')
Review
All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by students with David Jayden.
Perfect! David was great at working with me and my daughter. He had multiple techniques to try and get our bodies to do what they should be doing when we're singing. Some techniques worked for me while others worked better for my daughter. He was also very encouraging and made us both feel we could do this.

I worked with David while performing with The Young Americans (circa 2015). Beyond his command of the technicals (he has a gift for pulling the best out of you), David took time to understand my story and support me as a person. Excellence is rare, and so is being a great human being. David is both, I highly recommend.
I first met David Anthony when I was eleven years old through McCoy Rigby Musical Theatre Conservatory where he was music directing multiple shows during their summer stock season. I then went on to continue taking classes from David through the McCoy Rigby Conservatory and through MTU – Musical Theatre University. Shortly there after, I started to take private voice lessons with him. I have been training with David for almost 10 years now and he has had a huge impact on my life. He has acted as my teacher and mentor and he has inspired me to do things I did not think were possible.
Because of David my vocal control and technique have grown leaps and bounds throughout the years I have trained with him. He has such a wonderful way of communicating with each student. He understands my strengths and weaknesses and works with both sides to make me a better performer. David has given me the confidence to walk into a room and know I am going to nail any audition because of his training. Not only have I looked to him for vocal technique, but he has also made me a better actress as well. He has taught me to allow myself to be vulnerable and know that I am always enough.
Without David Anthony I would not be the confident performer I am today. I constantly look forward to voice lessons with him because he always pushes me and challenges me beyond anything I could ever imagine. I am so grateful for him and everything he has done for me I could never thank him enough for the amazing influence he has had on my life.“I have trained with many voice teachers in both Los Angeles and New York City and I can honestly say David Anthony is one in a million! As a vocal coach David is committed to not only your vocal progression but your overall success and you are Undoubtably getting more than you’re paying for. David is excellent in providing technical training but you also get a teacher who can really help you develop as an overall performer. He has a keen ability to isolate your weaknesses and help correct them while reenforcing your strengths and helping you capitalize on them. With David as my coach I was able to get into OCHSA (a competitive performing arts high school) and The Young Americans (international performing group). Thanks to David, who also coached me for my college auditions, I am now a senior at New York University Tisch Drama. Thank you david for transforming me into the performer I never thought I could be.”
