About Punithevathy
I have always enjoyed teaching and helping young people develop their understanding and confidence in learning. I homeschooled my own children for six years and continue to support them in their studies, particularly in Chemistry, Biology and Higher Level Mathematics.
Alongside homeschooling, I have experience teaching and mentoring children and young adults in a variety of educational settings.
Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy and am happy to pursue alongside my other interests. I believe that with the right guidance, encouragement and approach, every student can make progress, and I would be delighted to help wherever I can.

My approach to tutoring is centred on the individual student. I recognise that students learn at different paces and in different ways, so I adapt my teaching to suit their understanding, confidence and learning needs.
I focus on developing a clear understanding of scientific principles rather than simply memorising formulas. Lessons combine explanations, worked examples and guided problem-solving, encouraging students to think critically and develop confidence in applying what they learn.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, beginning with an assessment of the student's understanding and building progressively on their existing knowledge. The pace and structure are adjusted according to individual needs.
