About Zainab

I am a target-driven tutor who focuses on achieving measurable progress in the shortest realistic timeframe. I use a range of teaching and revision techniques depending on the individual student, rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

My focus is on identifying exactly where a student is losing marks, addressing those weaknesses efficiently and building the skills needed to achieve stronger results. I aim to make every lesson purposeful, with clear goals and measurable progress.

Through targeted teaching, focused practice and effective exam preparation, I have supported students in making significant improvements in their grades within the first few months of tuition.

About the lesson

I have over 12 years of experience working with children and young people, including experience working in schools and as an examiner. This has given me a strong understanding of how students learn, how to identify areas for improvement, and what is expected in examinations.

My approach is friendly, supportive and structured. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to their individual ability, learning style and goals. I don't simply teach students to memorise information; I focus on helping them understand concepts, apply their knowledge and develop confidence.

I use clear explanations, worked examples, questioning, interactive activities, practice exercises and exam-style questions. I regularly identify weaker areas and provide targeted practice to help students make steady progress.

For 11+ preparation, I can support students with English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, vocabulary, comprehension, problem-solving, exam technique and timed practice.

For GCSE and A-Level, I offer support in English, Maths, Biology and Chemistry, including topic revision, exam questions, exam technique and preparation for assessments.

Lessons are usually 60 minutes, although I can adapt the length depending on the student's age and needs.

I hold a Master’s degree in Physician Associate Studies, giving me a strong academic and scientific background, particularly in Biology, Chemistry and human sciences.

Most of my lessons are delivered online, allowing students from across the UK to learn from the comfort of their own home. For students who are local to me, I can also offer face-to-face lessons where appropriate.

I teach students from 11+ preparation through to GCSE and A-Level, and my goal is to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes and building their confidence.

Whether your child needs to strengthen their foundations, catch up with a particular subject, prepare for an important examination or aim for the highest possible grade, I will tailor lessons to their individual needs.
