About Kim

Have you ever struggled with a topic even after it was explained in class, wondering what part you missed? Or felt like you understood something in the moment, but couldn’t solve it on your own later?

That’s exactly where I step in!

I am a Math and English tutor for elementary to high school students, focused on turning confusing lessons into clear, step-by-step understanding. Instead of rushing through topics, I take time to find where the confusion starts and rebuild the concept in a way that actually makes sense for the student.

About the lesson

I start by identifying where the student is struggling through simple questions and then break down the topic into its basic parts before building it back up step by step. Throughout the lesson, I ask guiding and situational questions to make sure the student is actively thinking and truly understands the topic, not just memorizing steps. If a student gets confused or frustrated, I slow down and adjust my explanation to match their pace.

I focus on making complex topics simple and easy to understand by adjusting my explanations to the student’s level. I encourage students to identify mistakes themselves before stepping in to guide them. Students often find my explanations easier to follow than traditional classroom teaching.

My lessons are for elementary to high school students (rare cases I can possibly work with: Senior High School) who need support in Math and English. I am flexible with different learning levels, but I work best with students who are willing to actively participate and engage during lessons. My focus is on understanding and homework support rather than last-minute memorization or cramming.

Details

My rates vary depending on the student's grade level. For elementary students, I charge ₱200–₱250 per hour. For high school students, my rate is ₱250–₱300 per hour. For special cases like Senior High School, I charge ₱300–₱350 per hour for specialized subjects such as Communication related, Pre-Calculus, and General Mathematics.
