About Aaron

Helping students to tame their math classes has always been a passion for me. I was a teaching assistant during 7 years (engineering students), and I gave hundreds of hours of private lessons via MySherpa (pupils ranging from primary school to university).

About the lesson

Whether you need a regular follow-up during the year in math or computer science, or just a puntual help before an exam - welcome! Maths: algebra, analysis, statistics, geometry, etc.
Computer Science: programming (eg. Python, Matlab)

The first hour of lessons is essential. We will start by identifying the points of attention. I always ask the student to fly with me over all the material to cover, commenting on what (s)he understands (or not) with his/her words. This allows us to agree on a personalized attack plan. I will be actively listening during this hour, because this is how we start building mutual trust. For the other sessions, the focus is on demystifying key concepts accompanied by practical exercises. I always prepare lessons in advance according to the difficulties encountered by the student. For a period of 2 hours, for example, the idea is to have 30 minutes of revision (eg homework correction, Q&A) and 1:30 of new material.
