About Abby
I’m currently a college student at Stony Brook University, majoring in Astronomy and Mathematics with a Physics minor. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to feel confident in what you’re learning, and I strive to provide the kind of support and understanding I wished I had. My goal is to ensure every student leaves each lesson with more knowledge and clarity than before. I’m committed to providing customized lessons tailored to each student’s needs. Punctuality, professionalism, and respect are priorities, whether online or in person around Somerset, MA. I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to grow their skills. Your progress and confidence are my top goals.

As a tutor, I focus on making math and physics understandable, not just solvable. I use an example-driven approach to explain tough concepts in ways that worked on myself. Whether it’s Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, or high school Physics, I tailor each lesson to the student’s learning style and pace, while including methods that got me through each subject. A typical session starts with reviewing previous material or homework, then targeting the topics of struggle from said material. I aim to build not just skills, but confidence, so much so my students can teach others. My lessons are ideal for middle and high school students, whether that's prepping for exams, catching up, or trying to get ahead. What sets me apart is my ability to simplify complex ideas and create a relaxed learning environment where students aren’t afraid to ask questions.
