About David
I am a Mathematics tutor with over 20 years of teaching experience and a BSc in Mathematics. I have worked with many school and university students, helping them develop strong mathematical understanding and confidence. My teaching focuses on guiding advanced high school and early university learners into deeper areas of mathematics.
A key part of my work is introducing students to mathematical logic and proof theory. These topics help learners understand how mathematics is built on clear reasoning and structured thinking. I teach formal reasoning step by step so students learn how to construct and understand mathematical proofs.

My teaching approach in mathematics is clear, structured, and focused on building strong understanding step by step. I believe that every strong math skill begins with a solid foundation in elementary math and middle school math concepts. From there, I gradually guide learners into algebraic foundations such as equations, expressions, functions, and logical problem solving.
I carefully connect each concept so that one idea naturally leads to the next. This helps students clearly understand topics like geometry, proofs, and mathematical reasoning without confusion. When teaching calculus, I break down complex ideas such as differentiation, integration, limits, and real world applications into simple steps.
I also include probability and statistics so students learn how mathematics is used to analyze data and make decisions. Topics such as probability rules, distributions, statistical reasoning, and data interpretation become easier through practical examples.
Every lesson follows a clear progression path designed for steady improvement. I provide focused guidance for exam preparation, assignments, and problem solving practice. My goal is to help learners think logically and approach difficult questions with confidence.
Special attention is given to those who aim for careers that rely heavily on mathematical thinking, including future actuaries and analytical professionals. I support them in developing deep understanding, precision, and strong problem solving skills.
