I have a strong aptitude for mathematics and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. I tutor students up to Year 8, providing clear explanations and personalised support to build both understanding and confidence.

I am available for tutoring after 4:00 PM on weekdays and from 9:00 AM onwards on weekends. Each session is engaging, structured, and tailored to the student’s individual learning style, ensuring consistent progress and a positive learning experience.

1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?
I developed an interest to be a tutor when I was searching for online tuition for my sister on superprof.
2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).
I teach math which is more of a logical subject so there isn't a large range of answers like other subjects. Instead there is usually only one fixed answer and it's one of the many reasons why I love maths. I don't like teaching topics where you have to explain how you got a certain answer as it has many possible answers. Of course I don't mind it, but it's just one of those topics where I just would prefer to do something else.
3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?
My Dad is my role model.
4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?
I think the qualities required to be a good tutor is being able to keep the student interested and strike a conversation with them (I'm still working on this as I'm not a very talkative person). I think it's also important that you know what you're talking about and not just saying nonsense.
5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.
I don't have any notable experiences but if I had to provide one it would be from when I was in primary school. When I was in year 4, my teacher was picking people who looked like they weren't paying attention to solve a question. Eventually she came to pick me and since I wasn't paying attention I said I didn't know. I had a feeling about what the answer might've been but I didn't say anything as I didn't want to get the answer wrong. It turns out the answer I had in my head was right and since then I've realised that it's always good to have a go because you never know when you're right.
6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?
When I was little whenever I found something hard in maths I found it hard to admit it and ask for help.
7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?
I like the subject maths as there's always a right answer.
8) What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions :-P) ?
I think what makes me a Superprof is the fact that I have a passion in the subject I'm teaching. Although I'm not the best at teaching it I still think the fact I'm willing to teach it is what makes me a Superprof.
