About Tomas
Hi, my name is Tomás. I am about to complete my PGCE after getting a strong degree in Mathematics. I have had a passion for Mathematics for as long as I can remember and my aim has always been to be a Mathematics teacher.
I have prior experience of helping students understand mathematics; during my final year of GCSE’s I took part in a tutoring program where I helped Year 7’s who were struggling in Maths. I have also been a teaching assistant at a secondary school helping students studying for their GCSE maths. I also volunteer for a local charity, Action Tutoring, who aim to bring education to those who are less fortunate in the local area.
I have always believed that a good teacher is a person who has the ability to explain difficult subjects in simple terms. I believe that this is one of my strengths which I have gained in helping my class mates when they were studying for their GCSE’s and A Levels. It has always given me a great sense of achievement when someone I’m helping finally understands a topic and can then solve problems by themselves.
I am sure that if you are struggling with any aspect of mathematics then together we can resolve the issue.

I have known Tomàs for two years, Tomás is a very understanding and empathetic person. They have a very strong knowledge of mathematics and take great care to ensure their student learning needs are met; particularly disabled students or those with learning difficulties. I have no doubt that Tomás is a wonderful tutor, and that any student would enjoy working with them.
I attended secondary school with Tomas. He has always been a helpful, friendly student and helped me greatly during our maths and physics classes.
