About MOHD

With over 14 years of experience teaching mathematics, I have built a strong reputation for helping students succeed at different academic levels, from GCSE and A-Level to undergraduate university mathematics. My teaching is supported by a solid academic background, including a Ph.D. in Mathematics, M.Phil. in Mathematics, M.Sc. in Mathematics, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics. These qualifications, combined with years of practical teaching experience, allow me to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and effectively while maintaining the highest professional standards. My experience includes working with students of different abilities, learning styles, and academic goals, which has enabled me to refine a teaching approach that is both structured and supportive.
Throughout my teaching career, I have helped many students improve their grades, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and build lasting confidence in mathematics. I understand that many students find maths challenging or intimidating, so I focus on creating a calm, encouraging, and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
As an online tutor, I use interactive tools such as digital whiteboards, structured lesson materials, and exam-style practice questions to make lessons engaging and effective. I also provide constructive feedback and practical strategies to help students improve their accuracy, speed, and exam technique.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring mathematics focuses on building strong conceptual understanding rather than simple memorisation of formulas. I believe that when students truly understand why a method works, they gain confidence and become independent problem-solvers.
In my lessons, I use a step-by-step teaching style where complex concepts are broken down into clear, manageable parts. I incorporate visual explanations, real-life examples, and guided problem solving to make mathematical ideas easier to understand. Students are encouraged to actively participate, ask questions, and explain their reasoning, which helps strengthen their analytical thinking.
Each lesson is tailored to the student's individual learning style, pace, and academic goals. I also regularly assess progress through practice questions, mini-quizzes, and exam-style problems to ensure students are developing both accuracy and speed.
Most online sessions last 60 minutes, which allows enough time for concept explanation, guided practice, and independent problem solving. However, 90-minute sessions are also available for students preparing for important exams or requiring more in-depth support.
I have over 14 years of experience teaching mathematics to students from various academic backgrounds. During this time, I have helped many students improve their understanding of mathematics, increase their confidence, and achieve higher grades in their exams. My experience includes one-to-one tutoring, online teaching, and supporting students with different learning abilities. Through years of teaching, I have developed effective strategies to explain difficult topics clearly and adapt lessons to meet each student’s needs.
My lessons are suitable for students of different ages and ability levels, including:
Primary school students who need to build a strong mathematical foundation.
Secondary school students preparing for school assessments and exams.
GCSE and equivalent level students who want to strengthen their problem-solving skills.
