About Logan
My passion for mathematics education stems from a fascination with patterns, logic, and problem-solving. I earned an M.Sc in Mathematics Education, where I developed deep knowledge of advanced mathematical concepts and effective pedagogical strategies. Over the past 13 years, I have worked with students across elementary school maths, middle school maths, geometry, algebra, and SAT maths, helping them overcome anxiety, build clarity, and gain self-confidence in their abilities. I teach with empathy, patience, and adaptability, ensuring explanations are tailored to each learner’s pace and understanding. I emphasise step-by-step reasoning, visual aids, and real-life examples to make abstract concepts accessible and engaging. Many students who initially struggle gradually gain independence and confidence as they grasp the logic underlying mathematical processes. Outside teaching, I continually refine instructional methods, create engaging practice materials, and stay informed of the latest research in mathematics education. Teaching mathematics is profoundly rewarding because it equips students with critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills that last a lifetime.

Mathematics becomes far more approachable when students understand the reasoning behind each concept rather than memorising rules mechanically. In my lessons, I guide learners through elementary school maths, middle school maths, geometry, algebra, and SAT maths using structured, step-by-step explanations that emphasise logical connections and problem-solving strategies. I help students see patterns in maths and understand how different concepts interrelate, fostering both confidence and analytical thinking. Lesson plans are carefully personalised to each learner’s level. Beginners focus on foundational arithmetic, number sense, and confidence-building through simple problem-solving exercises. Intermediate learners strengthen geometry, algebra, and proportional reasoning skills, tackling multi-step problems with guided support. Advanced learners focus on SAT maths strategies, complex problem-solving, time management, and reasoning flexibility. Each lesson includes interactive discussions, guided practice, and reflective exercises to ensure steady progress and mastery. Maths lessons also cultivate critical thinking, persistence, and structured reasoning. As learners gain confidence, they approach challenging problems calmly and systematically. My goal is to help students develop a strong mathematical foundation that supports academic growth and problem-solving abilities throughout life.
