About Ashleigh
I am a student pursuing a maths degree at heriot watt university, I used to voluntarily tutor younger years when I was in high school as well as leading my schools stem club. the kids I have helped tutored have received lowest B grades ( B being the grade the were aspiring to achieve). I have gotten A's in my personal nat 5, higher and advanced higher exams.

I'm a patient and positive enthusiastic tutor, who is excited to help grow student's knowledge of maths! I'll begin the lesson by asking the student if there is anything specific they would like to go over and if not then what kind of topics they are covering in school at the moment, and then proceed to teach the content that I had just been told about. In general my teaching method is to have students do the questions step by step and describe to me what they are doing as they are doing it after me showing a demonstration of how to approach specific questions step by step. After this is done I generally have them do questions of similar natures to engrave the methods into their heads. I tend to follow the SQA school curriculum and will teach topic by topic of the specific SQA course unless the student requests help on a specific topic (what they are currently studying in school if they are specifically struggling with it etc.) then that lesson will be mainly focused on that.
