About Isolde
My love for mathematics stems from a fascination with patterns, logical structures, and problem-solving. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, equipping me with a strong foundation in both theory and practical application. Over 13 years, I have guided students of various levels to develop conceptual clarity, analytical reasoning, and confidence in applying mathematical skills to real-world problems.
I focus on creating a supportive, student-centered learning environment. Many learners initially find abstract concepts, derivations, or multi-step problems challenging, so I break material into manageable sections, provide visual aids, and encourage guided practice. This methodology nurtures independent thinking, mastery, and confidence in mathematical abilities.
Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with contemporary mathematical research, applied studies, and teaching methodologies, integrating relevant insights into lessons. Observing students progress from uncertainty to clarity, develop critical thinking, and gain confidence in problem-solving is profoundly rewarding. Supporting learners to achieve excellence while fostering a lifelong appreciation for mathematics is central to my teaching philosophy.
