About Janhavi
My passion for mathematics began with curiosity about logical reasoning, problem-solving, and pattern recognition. I earned a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, specializing in algebra, geometry, and applied problem-solving. Over 9 years, I have guided learners from elementary school math to middle school math, advanced algebra, geometry, and SAT math, helping them develop confidence, analytical skills, and conceptual clarity. I create supportive, engaging lessons that foster curiosity, independent thinking, and practical application. I tailor lessons to student abilities. Beginners develop foundational arithmetic, number sense, and basic operations. Intermediate learners work on multi-step reasoning, applied algebra, and geometric problem-solving. Advanced learners tackle SAT-style questions, coordinate geometry, and advanced algebra, cultivating analytical reasoning, problem-solving confidence, and independence. My teaching emphasizes curiosity, persistence, and structured thinking. Outside the classroom, I explore mathematical applications, problem-solving strategies, and innovative teaching methods to enrich lessons. Witnessing students gain mastery, confidence, and curiosity is immensely rewarding. My goal is to equip learners to approach mathematics creatively, logically, and independently.

Mathematics becomes exciting when students see connections between elementary school math, middle school math, algebra, geometry, and SAT math. Beginners focus on arithmetic, fractions, number sense, and basic operations using visual aids, interactive exercises, and real-world examples to establish a strong foundation and confidence. Intermediate learners tackle multi-step algebraic problems, geometric reasoning, and applied exercises, linking abstract concepts to practical scenarios. Advanced learners engage with SAT math, coordinate geometry, higher-level algebra, and complex problem-solving strategies, developing independent thinking, analytical reasoning, and resilience. Lessons integrate structured explanations, hands-on exercises, and interactive discussion to foster intellectual curiosity, mastery, and problem-solving confidence. Students are encouraged to experiment with multiple approaches, identify patterns, and persist through challenging questions. The aim is to equip learners not only for academic success but also for logical thinking, critical reasoning, and lifelong mathematical competence.
Lesson pacing is adapted to learner levels. Beginners build foundational arithmetic and number sense through guided exercises. Intermediate learners develop multi-step reasoning, applied algebra, and geometric problem-solving skills.
