About Rachna
My interest in mathematics began with a fascination for patterns, logic, and problem-solving. I pursued a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, gaining expertise in algebra, geometry, and applied problem-solving. Over the past 8 years, I have taught students across levels, from elementary school math to middle school math, advanced algebra, geometry, and SAT math, emphasizing confidence, conceptual understanding, and practical application. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where learners feel motivated to explore, question, and develop critical thinking skills. I adapt lessons to individual needs, providing step-by-step explanations, visual aids, and interactive exercises. Beginners strengthen foundational arithmetic and number sense, intermediate learners develop reasoning and multi-step problem-solving skills, and advanced students tackle complex SAT-style and higher-level algebraic and geometric challenges. I emphasize curiosity, persistence, and independent thinking as central to mathematical mastery. Outside the classroom, I explore real-world applications of mathematics, new problem-solving strategies, and innovative teaching methods to enhance engagement. Seeing students develop confidence, skill, and a genuine interest in mathematics is profoundly rewarding and inspires my continued dedication to education.
