About Yvonne
My interest in mathematics developed from a desire to understand patterns, structures, and problem-solving logic in the world around me. I completed a B.Sc in Pure Mathematics followed by an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, which allowed me to explore both theoretical and practical dimensions of the subject. Over the past 10 years, I have taught students across various levels, guiding them from foundational concepts to advanced problem-solving strategies with patience, clarity, and dedication.
I emphasize understanding, practice, and real-world application in my teaching. Lessons include interactive problem-solving, conceptual discussions, visual aids, and applied exercises, helping learners connect theory to practical outcomes. I encourage students to think independently, ask questions freely, and approach challenges with confidence and curiosity.
Beyond teaching, I engage with mathematical research, modeling, and analytical problem-solving, which enriches my lessons and keeps them relevant. Teaching mathematics is deeply rewarding because I witness learners grow from confusion to understanding, gaining both skill and confidence. Supporting their journey to becoming confident, analytical thinkers remains one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

Lesson plans are customized for the student’s level. Beginners develop a strong foundation in arithmetic, algebraic manipulation, and basic geometry. Intermediate learners tackle calculus, probability theory, and problem-solving strategies. Advanced learners explore advanced topics such as multivariable calculus, linear algebra, mathematical modeling, and applied exercises for academic exams or competitions. Every lesson combines stepwise explanation, guided practice, and conceptual reinforcement, ensuring learners gain both confidence and mastery.
