About Eva
Hi, I'm Eva! I'm currently completing the final year of my Mathematics degree at the University of Liverpool. Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad at one of Australia's top universities. Moving to such a beautiful country taught me the importance of balancing personal goals, like travelling, exploring new places and making lifelong friends, with academic goals such as succeeding in challenging new subjects. It showed me that working hard and enjoying life don't have to come at the expense of one another.
I've always believed that anyone can enjoy maths with the right support. My goal isn't just to help students achieve better grades, but to build their confidence so they feel comfortable tackling new challenges. One of my biggest teaching principles is a "try first, then ask" approach. I know many students are afraid of getting answers wrong, but I believe mistakes are one of the most important parts of learning and should never be something to fear.
Over the past three years, I've worked with students of all ages, abilities and backgrounds through Kumon (a maths and English study centre), private tutoring and volunteer tutoring for students who otherwise wouldn't have access to extra support. I've also taught a first-year revision class at the University of Liverpool. I have experience supporting students with additional learning needs as well as those working beyond their expected level, and I enjoy adapting my teaching style to suit each individual.
Outside of maths, I love cooking, swimming and spending time outdoors, whether that's exploring nature or going for long walks. I bring that same enthusiasm and positive attitude into every lesson, and nothing makes me happier than seeing a student grow in confidence and realise they're capable of far more than they first believed.

I believe every student can succeed in maths with the right support and approach. My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, whether they're aiming to build confidence, improve grades or achieve top marks.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes a review of previous work, clear explanations of new concepts, worked examples and plenty of practice questions. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and focus on developing a genuine understanding rather than simply memorising methods. I also help students improve their exam technique by working through past paper questions and discussing common mistakes.
I have over three years of tutoring experience, including one-to-one private tutoring and teaching students through Kumon. I am currently a Mathematics undergraduate on track to achieve First Class Honours and have recently completed A-Level Maths and Further Maths, giving me first-hand knowledge of the current syllabuses.
My lessons are suitable for KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-Level students. Whether a student needs regular support, exam preparation or help with a particular topic, I aim to create a friendly, patient and supportive learning environment where they can build confidence and reach their full potential.
