About Stefano

Welcome! I’m Stefano.
Despite my current career as a spacecraft thermal engineer, maths and physics never came naturally to me!

I was fortunate to have an incredible tutor who showed me a completely different approach to learning—using intuitive visual tools and real-world examples rather than dry formulae. He handed me the "master keys" to problem-solving, which I later passed on to the students I mentored.

Because of him, I was able to open doors and build a career I absolutely love. Now, I am determined to help every child unlock their full potential and open up a world of possibilities for their future.

About the lesson

About My Teaching Approach & Methodology:
I believe that Maths and Physics are best learnt through practical understanding rather than memorising formulae. Coming from an engineering background, my lessons focus on breaking down complex mathematical concepts into real-world examples!

Every lesson is tailored to the student's individual pace and learning style. My methodology follows a clear three-step structure:

Concept Breakdown: We start by exploring the core principle using interactive examples and visual breakdowns.

Guided Problem Solving: We work through stepped exam questions together to build problem-solving skills

Independent Application: The student completes targeted past-paper questions on their own, cementing their confidence and improving exam technique.

Lesson Structure & Length

Standard Lessons: 60 minutes long, ideal for regular weekly check-ins, targeted topic masterclasses, and homework help.

Extended Sessions: 90-minute sessions are available upon request for intensive GCSE exam revision or tackling multi-step exam papers.

Who the Lessons Are For
My lessons are specifically designed for students aged 10 to 15 (Years 6 to 11):

Key Stage 3 (Ages 11–14): Building rock-solid foundations in algebra, arithmetic, and introductory science concepts to set students up for early success.

GCSE & iGCSE (Ages 14–15): Comprehensive coverage of AQA, Edexcel, and OCR spec topics in Maths, Physics, and Combined Science—with a heavy focus on past-paper practice, mark scheme nuances, and exam timing.

Qualifications & Experience
I was a maths tutor back in Sixth form. Now as a qualified engineering graduate, my professional daily work revolves around mathematics, physics, and complex problem-solving. My background allows me to show students why these subjects matter in the real world and what is possible outside of the classroom!

Whether your child is struggling to catch up, working to boost their grade from a 5 to an 8/9, or preparing for their GCSE mocks, I offer a patient, supportive, and structured environment.

Newton once famously said, "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants" and I believe every child sometimes just needs that kind shoulder to unleash their full potential.
