Note: I am currently only considering exam-year students and online tutorials for new clients.

Hello! I'm Will, a Cambridge graduate interested in STEM education.

I am primarily a Maths tutor, though I am equally capable teaching Physics. I have a robust background in applications of mathematics to the physical sciences.

I started tutoring with friends and family, though I do have experience teaching in classrooms. I spent a little time teaching English as a Foreign Language to Japanese students while I was touring with a university drama group, which necessitated both careful planning and spontaneous adjustment to cater to varying abilities. On my return to the United Kingdom, I worked for a few months in the Physics Department at the Perse School, Cambridge. In winter 2020-21 I delivered remote IGCSE Physics classes to high school students in Italy. (Fortunately, their English was very good.)

Any student of mine is welcome to voice their confusion. I remember how it felt to not understand the concepts with which I am now familiar. It is better to feel daft during the tuition than in the examination. Any question is a valid one, provided it remains on topic.

I am open to discussing tutelage for other levels, as well as other areas of STEM. As of September 2021, my attention is towards those studying AS, A level and IB (level 3 qualifications), having previously tutored these subjects alongside GCSE and IGCSE. I can assist with STEP, Oxford's MAT and PAT, and occasionally first-year undergraduate topics (and some second-year). Options I haven't explicitly listed in my Subjects will take me more time to prepare, and I would be more comfortable teaching A-level (Further) Maths and/or Physics to a student first, before moving to other areas. For university work, please understand that the student will need resources we can use together.

Perfect! Absolutely fantastic dedicated tutor
Will C is one of the best tutors we had for our son for Gcse maths . My son was lacking in confidence in Maths and Physics Worded problems. We approached Will C if he could help him . Within a few one on one classes and online classes , our son was gaining not only clarity in the subject but also deeper understanding so much so that his school teachers who were not aware of Will’ help were very please with his exponential progress and dedication in physics and maths . Thanks to Will our son has had a clean sweep with all 9s and is taking Stem for his A Levels as well As a matter of fact . If any parent who thinks they need to give their child that boost of knowledge inspite of private education you can trust Will to make Stem interesting , he has that vibe that youngsters find comfort in at the same time he is through in identifyIng jokes and feeling in the gaps that some teachers who are very capable at school but Has not been able to connect with your child’ specific problems .
