About Joe
When I started university it had been three years since I’d studied maths or physics and as I began to re-learn material, I noticed that the concepts that had stayed with me since school were related to intuitive visual or physical analogies . This realisation influenced the way I directed my learning at university - and now influences the way I teach. Not only will I help you learn the techniques used to solve maths and physics questions, but I’ll also help you develop the intuitions that underlie those techniques so that you have the confidence to apply what you learn to problems that you've never seen before - during and beyond your time as a student.
There is no shame in failing to understand a maths concept immediately, nor is there shame in forgetting maths that you've already been taught, and so i promise to create an environment where there's permission to make mistakes and ask 'silly' questions - because getting things wrong is part of your journey to understanding and to eventually getting things right!

My name is Joe and I’m a Maths and Physics tutor based in Glasgow.
I tutor Scottish National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher levels, but also cater to GCSE and A Level.
Whether you’re looking for in person or online tuition, 30 minute or multi-hour sessions, quick topic revision or rigorous exam prep - I work according to your requirements.
I’m studying an MEng in Product Design Engineering at The University of Glasgow, and have been tutoring throughout my time at university.
