I am a graduate in Mathematical and Theoretical physics from Oxford University with a range of tutoring experience. I am a friendly and conscientious tutor who enjoys being able to adapt to the individual student for them to succeed and conquer their subject.

Both maths and physics often involve applying taught procedures to solve a particular problem, and sometimes the task of memorising “how” to solve every type of problem can be daunting. By digging just a little bit deeper and asking “why” the procedure works, this can often make the question “how” to solve the problem significantly easier, and then the “how” can be easily applied in more abstract situations.
I aim to push the students that extra bit - “why?” is an important question in these subjects.
Also in both maths and physics new material is built upon from previous material.
Sometimes if a student is struggling to grasp a new concept, it can be because the underlying material is not as solidified in understanding as is required. I can identify when this is the case and I am happy to take a step back and change focus onto the areas required. Once the more basic material is understood better, often the new concepts fall into place very easily.
I aim to give a highly satisfying understanding of the subjects, such that the subjects become more enjoyable and less daunting. Then I ensure the student has the tools and abilities at their fingertips that are required to continue to expand their knowledge in the future.
