About James
Hi, my name is James. I’m an 18 years old who has recently completed my A levels, achieving an A* in Maths, an A* in Further Maths and an A in Physics.
I have always enjoyed helping others understand difficult topics and seeing the moment when something finally clicks. I’m passionate about teaching and want to build more experience as a tutor while helping students become more confident and achieve the grades they are capable of.
As I have only recently completed my own GCSEs and A levels, I understand the challenges students face and know how important it is to have someone who can explain things in a clear, friendly and relatable way. I aim to make my lessons relaxed and encouraging, while still helping students make genuine progress.

My lessons are focused on helping students make genuine progress and achieve the grades they are capable of. I achieved an A* in both Maths and Further Maths and an A in Physics, so I understand what it takes to work towards the highest grades and the challenges students can face along the way.
Whether you are looking to improve from a Grade 2 to a Grade 4, push from a Grade 7 to a Grade 9, or simply become more confident with a particular topic, I will tailor each lesson around your individual goals and areas for improvement.
As someone who has recently completed GCSEs and A-levels myself, I understand the pressure students can feel and can explain concepts in a relatable way rather than making them unnecessarily complicated. My aim is to make every lesson productive, encouraging and something that leaves the student feeling more confident than when they started.
