About Shaleka
I am a dedicated and patient mathematics tutor with a strong academic background in Civil Engineering, which has provided me with an excellent foundation in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. I focus on clear, structured explanations and adapting lessons to suit each student’s learning style, helping them build both understanding and confidence.
I teach in a calm, supportive, and professional manner, ensuring students feel comfortable asking questions. My lessons are well planned, goal-oriented, and focused on steady progress. I am committed to maintaining high standards of reliability, punctuality, and communication with both students and parents.

My approach to tutoring is student-focused and supportive. I explain concepts step by step using simple language, real-life examples, and plenty of practice questions, especially for geometry and trigonometry. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, allowing time for explanation, guided practice, and revision.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, which has given me a strong foundation in mathematics, problem-solving, and logical thinking. While I am new to formal tutoring, I am patient, well-organised, and committed to helping students build confidence and understanding.
My lessons are suitable for school-level students, particularly those who need extra support or clearer explanations in mathematics.
