About Gregory

I am a First-Class Mathematics graduate, where I achieved an average of 85% and received an Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) Graduate Prize. Before university, I achieved A* grades in both Maths and Further Maths, along with awards in UK Mathematics Challenges and the Physics Olympiad.

Alongside my academic background, I have extensive teaching and mentoring experience. I volunteered as a maths tutor with Action Tutoring for two years, helping students improve their mathematical understanding and confidence, and recently taught at a monastery school in Nepal.

My professional experience managing large teams and operations has strengthened my communication, organisation, and leadership skills, all of which I bring to my tutoring. I am passionate about mathematics and enjoy helping students discover that difficult topics can become approachable and even enjoyable with the right guidance.

About the lesson

I offer personalised mathematics tuition for students from GCSE through to A-level. Having achieved A* grades in both Maths and Further Maths, followed by a First-Class Mathematics degree, I understand both the academic content and the exam techniques needed to succeed.

My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, whether that is building confidence, improving grades, preparing for exams, or developing a deeper understanding of mathematics. I focus on explaining concepts clearly, breaking down complex problems into manageable steps, and helping students develop strong problem-solving skills rather than simply memorising methods.

Through my experience as a tutor with Action Tutoring and as a teacher in Nepal, I have worked with students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
