About Tom
Hi! I'm Tom. I'm a Maths graduate from King's College London, work as a full time tutor in Newcastle and the surrounding area. I have studied for a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics, and worked on placement teaching maths classes of all levels in schools in south east London. I have worked full time as a tutor for the past 2 years, both privately and for agencies and consultancies, and I offer Maths, Physics and English tuition at all levels up to and including A level.
I have over 8 years’ experience in one to one teaching, and I am also experienced in teaching in classroom settings. I pride myself on having been able to consistently improve the results and academic performance consistently regardless of their age, level of experience or behavioural difficulties in school. My number one priority is to improve results and help students live up to their academic potential!

I'm a firm believer in tailoring my teaching style to the individual strengths, weaknesses, personality and needs of my students. My aim is always to find a creative approach to teaching the material to help make it clear, comprehensible and memorable for my students.
Though I am very focused on exam performance, one of my main goals is to instil a sense of confidence in the material, and do my very best to cultivate a sense of passion and enthusiasm for the subject. I believe that for truly quality learning to take place the student has to feel confident, comfortable and interested in the subject!
