About Evelyn
Hi, I’m Takudzwa Evelyn Zvitambo a passionate and patient tutor with a BSc in Statistics and Economics. I specialize in making Math and Statistics simple, relatable, and even enjoyable! I take a student-centered and results-driven approach to tutoring Maths and Statistics. My goal is not just to help you pass exams, but to help you understand the "why" behind the numbers so you can build long-term confidence and mastery.
Teaching Methodology and Techniques
I use a mix of:
1.Conceptual explanations to build strong foundational understanding
2.Step-by-step problem solving to boost accuracy and confidence
3.Real-world examples (especially from economics, business, or data) to make learning relevant and engaging
4.Active learning techniques, like quizzes and student-led problem breakdowns, to reinforce learning
5.Customized pacing depending on your current level and learning style (visual, auditory, hands-on, etc.)
A Typical Lesson Plan
Quick review of previous concepts or assignments (5–10 minutes)
1.Introduction of new topic with a focus on conceptual clarity (10–15 minutes)
2.Guided practice with progressively challenging examples (15–20 minutes)
3.Student-led problem-solving to assess understanding (10 minutes)
4.Q&A and summary with tips or practice tasks to reinforce learning (5–10 minutes)
