About William
I have always liked maths and in my first few years of tutoring. I've really enjoyed making others who struggle like it too. I find it incredibly rewarding seeing people improve and succeed. I have tutored a range of ages, but primarily tutor GCSE, A-Level and IB Maths candidates. Being a student at university right now, I have done my A-level and GCSEs in the last 6 years. This means I'm very familiar with the work, and also the stress that comes alongside the exams. Having got A*s in all my maths exams I'm very aware of what level it takes to get the top marks.
I have tutored 5 different pupils for the entire year each year I've been tutoring providing weekly lessons (and often more closer to exams). Committing for longer time periods really has helped me create a relationship with the pupils and enable them to have consistency throughout the year. I currently have around 150 lessons on various websites and several 5-star reviews.
In regards to other hobbies, I'm a keen sportsman, playing lots of tennis, squash and I row for my university.

I like to make my lessons very interactive and encourage students to be able to work out most of the steps with just a little guidance, so when it comes to them doing questions alone they are able to with ease.
I find going through past papers the most rewarding thing to do and really highlights what topic needs to be worked on. Past paper practice with a tutor makes exams feel less daunting and helps improve exam technique. When exams are a bit further off however I like to revise whole topics going through examples and the theory behind the maths, so no question is a surprise.
