About Joaciana

Hi, I'm Joaciana but you can call me Joci. I’ve always had a love for learning and a special interest in maths. What inspires me most is the opportunity to help others understand and enjoy the subject the way I do. I believe that with the right support and a bit of patience, anyone can feel confident in maths. I decided to start tutoring because I want to make a difference in students' lives by helping them build a strong foundation and feel proud of their progress. Teaching gives me the chance to share my knowledge, connect with others, and keep growing—both as a teacher and as a learner.

About the lesson

I'm a passionate and patient maths tutor dedicated to helping students build confidence and understanding in mathematics. While I'm early in my teaching journey, I bring a strong commitment to making learning accessible, engaging, and tailored to each student's needs. I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable steps. My lessons are interactive and supportive, using real-life examples and visual aids to make maths more relatable. I adapt my approach based on how each student learns best, ensuring they feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems at their own pace. Each session typically lasts 60 minutes, with time built in for review, practice, and answering any questions. I'm happy to adjust the length to suit your needs. Qualifications and Experience Although I’m just starting out as a tutor, I have a solid foundation in mathematics and a growing knowledge of effective teaching strategies. I’m continuously learning and refining my skills to better support my students. Who My Lessons Are For My lessons are more suited to secondary school students (ages 11–16) who need support with foundational maths skills, homework help, or preparation for school assessments. Whether your child needs a confidence boost or wants to strengthen their understanding, I'm here to help.
