About Matthew

I have been teaching in and around Blackpool now for over a year, and have taught 10+ students at all levels with amazing results at the end. I currently only offer online lessons as I am away from home for a period of time. I currently work as an Aerospace Engineer, graduated with a first class degree in aerosystems engineering and have a private pilot's licence. I am currently working towards my commercial pilot licence.

My teachers and tutors throughout many years of education helped inspire and push me to where I am today. I hope to provide similar guidance to those who wish to!

About the lesson

Lessons will be friendly and hopefully fun, starting with a quick brief on what we will be doing for the session and then diving right into getting some questions squared away. Ramping up the difficulty as we go! Any issues we encounter along the way will be added to your file so we know what to do in the future! I always like to debrief students (and parents!) after lessons to make sure we know where we sit in the grand scheme of things and to arrange future lessons.

Maths and by extension the sciences are topics that have the fantastic advantage of being able to be approached from many different angles. If you find you can’t crack a particular question one way, chances are we can find another way to do so! Lessons in 1 or 2 hour sessions can be arranged both virtually or in person to suit both our needs and tailored to help your knowledge where it's needed most.

Kasper was a really good student to teach, starting off shy but reallyl got engaged with the maths once he reallised how easy it was when I broke it down for him. I only got to teach him in the last sprint to his GCSE but his maths skills developed massively in the two or so months I taught him. Great student with amazing parent support. Best of luck in the future!

Perfect! Matthew was quick to reply had had a good plan to look at my son's skill based. He asked for some work samples to look at in advance (so well prepared) and my son has really enjoyed the lesson.
