About Zia
I am a Mathematics tutor with over 5 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics. My passion lies in helping students see mathematics as more than just numbers—it is a language of reasoning and structure. I specialise in introducing advanced high school and early university students to mathematical logic and proof theory. My teaching covers formal reasoning, propositional and predicate logic, and the essentials of set theory. These areas form the backbone of rigorous mathematical thought, and I present them in a way that is both clear and engaging. Paradoxes, puzzles, and challenging problems are often part of my lessons, encouraging students to think critically and question deeply. I have guided students pursuing philosophy, computer science, and pure mathematics, tailoring sessions to their academic needs and interests. Whether preparing for coursework or exploring abstract ideas, I help them connect logic to the broader frameworks of their studies. My approach balances structure with curiosity. While I emphasise precision and method, I also encourage students to appreciate the creative side of mathematics.
