About Vivienne
I am a Math tutor with over 5 years of experience and hold a BMath degree. My passion lies in helping students explore the fascinating world of discrete mathematics, especially for competitive programming and algorithms. I enjoy guiding learners through challenging problems and showing them the beauty of mathematical thinking. My expertise includes combinatorics, graph theory, recurrence relations, and algorithmic complexity. I use these tools to tackle computational challenges and build strong problem-solving skills. I take pride in breaking down complex coding-related math problems into clear, manageable steps. My teaching blends concept clarity with practical examples so students gain both understanding and confidence. I work closely with learners to strengthen their logical thinking and analytical skills. My teaching style is warm, interactive, and rooted in storytelling. I believe every student can enjoy math when it’s presented with clarity and creativity. I work especially well with students who struggle with math anxiety or need a fresh perspective on numbers.
I teach a wide range of math topics, including logical puzzles, pattern recognition, historical math anecdotes, and conceptual visualization. These help students connect abstract ideas to real-world understanding. I use visual aids, simple games, and everyday examples to make learning engaging and memorable.
My lessons are designed to be interactive, encouraging questions and discussions. This keeps students engaged and builds their confidence step by step. I also help Quant and Economist learners by tailoring concepts to their practical needs.
Through my approach, students not only solve problems but also enjoy the process of discovery. My goal is to transform math into an exciting journey rather than a challenge. Together, we make math relatable, fun, and deeply rewarding.
