About Miles
I hold a BA in Mathematics and bring over 5 years of tutoring experience to my students. My background lies in topology and knot theory, where the focus is on understanding shapes, spaces, and continuous deformations. I love showing students how these abstract ideas connect to the real world, from molecular structures in chemistry to artistic patterns in design. In my lessons, visual aids and diagrams are central tools. I believe that abstract mathematics becomes far more approachable when learners can see the transformations and imagine the spaces they are working with. I often integrate real-world examples that spark curiosity and help students appreciate the creativity behind rigorous mathematical reasoning. I work with students from diverse backgrounds—those pursuing abstract mathematics, physics, or even art—guiding them to see the deep connections mathematics offers across fields. I am a passionate Maths tutor who believes that numbers tell stories, and I use storytelling to make every concept come alive. My lessons are warm, interactive, and designed especially for students who struggle with math anxiety or those who simply need a fresh way to see numbers.
Beyond traditional topics, I also explore logical puzzles, historical math anecdotes, and pattern recognition to spark curiosity. I use conceptual visualization to help students truly “see” the logic behind equations and formulas.
