About Stella
I am a Maths tutor with over 5 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science. I specialise in helping students improve their mathematical communication and exposition skills. My goal is to make complex concepts clear and accessible.
I guide students in writing coherent mathematical arguments and presenting their solutions effectively. Whether it’s step-by-step problem solving or constructing logical proofs, I focus on clarity and precision. I have worked with students on university essays, research papers, and presentations, helping them convey their ideas confidently.
I emphasise understanding, not just memorisation, so students can explain concepts in their own words. Together, we practice organising thoughts, structuring arguments, and using appropriate notation. I encourage questions and foster an environment where mistakes become learning opportunities.
By the end of our sessions, students gain not only stronger skills but also greater confidence in articulating mathematical ideas. Learning maths can be challenging, but it can also be fun and rewarding. I look forward to helping you develop clarity, confidence, and a love for expressing maths effectively.

My teaching approach focuses on making mathematics engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable. I cover a wide range of topics, including algebra, calculus, logic puzzles, game theory, and recreational mathematics. I also explore how mathematical concepts apply to everyday life, helping students see the real-world value of what they learn.
I use a nurturing and personalised methodology, tailoring lessons to each student’s pace and interests. Learning becomes an adventure, where playful exploration is encouraged and curiosity is celebrated. I guide students step by step, ensuring they build strong foundational understanding.
