I specialize in helping students move beyond "memorizing formulas" to actually understanding the logic. Whether you are struggling to find your feet in Year 7 or aiming for a 40+ score in Methods, I provide the roadmap to get there.
My Approach: The "Fluency" Method
I treat Mathematics like a language. Once you understand the grammar (the rules) and the vocabulary (the concepts), fluency follows naturally.
I exclusively offer 1.5-hour sessions. Why? Because 60 minutes is rarely enough to review homework, master a new concept, and apply it to exam-style questions. My deep-dive sessions ensure we never rush the "aha!" moment.
What I Offer

Year 7–10: Building "Bulletproof" Foundations
The jump to Senior Math is where many students struggle. I focus on:
• Gap Identification: Pinpointing the hidden "cracks" in fractions or algebra that cause trouble later.

• Engagement: Using my Biomed background to show how math applies to real-world science and logic.
• Study Habits: Teaching students how to structure their working out so they stop losing "silly" marks.

VCE Methods (Units 1/2 & 3/4): The Exam Edge

Methods is a game of strategy. We focus on the 2023–2027 VCAA Study Design:

• CAS Proficiency: Mastering the TI-Nspire/ClassPad so it becomes a high-speed tool, not a crutch.
• Exam 1 vs. Exam 2: Specific drills for "calc-free" precision and "calc-active" efficiency.
• The Bound Reference: I help you build a concise, high-utility summary book throughout the year.
• SAC Optimization: Analyzing past papers to understand exactly what VCAA assessors are looking for.

• Location: Melbourne CBD (State Library/UniMelb) & Eastern Suburbs (Local libraries or in-home).

Rates & Investment
I believe in transparency and providing value beyond the time spent in the session. My rates reflect the preparation required to deliver high-quality, syllabus-aligned lessons and the high-level resources provided to every student.

Session Pricing (1.5 Hours)
Year 7 – 10 Maths: $60 per session ($40/hr equivalent)

Focus: Building foundations, confidence, and pre-VCE skills.

VCE Mathematical Methods (Units 1–4): $75 per session ($50/hr equivalent)

Focus: Exam technique, CAS mastery, and SAC preparation.


Location & Travel
Public Libraries: No extra charge (State Library Victoria, UniMelb Libraries, or Eastern Suburb local libraries).

In-Home Tutoring: A small $10–$15 travel fee may apply depending on your distance from [Your Suburb] to cover transit time.

Online: Available via Zoom/Discord with a digital whiteboard (No travel fee).
