About Mckayla
Hi, my name is Miss Taljaardt! I am a first year education student who is passionate about teaching. I can assure you, I am very professional but I strive to make you feel at ease and help YOU with your struggles with Afrikaans. I will do everything in my power to help you grasp this language and be proficient in it. The focus is on you and your struggles and how to support you in them. Afrikaans is my home language and I matriculated with an A in Afrikaans HL, but I am currently studying to teach Afrikaans FAL. Students of all ages are welcome !

I'm very patient and dedicated. If a student struggles with a concept I will go the extra mile to support my students. We solve problems together and keep it fun, focused and insightful. I could teach Afrikaans in English or in Afrikaans, depending on the student's preferences. Each lesson will be focused on the most important parts of Afrikaans (FAL or HL students can benefit) students of all ages are welcome- from middle school, high and even college students who struggle with the language. Students can suggest which content area they struggle with and I will gladly put emphasis on these areas to ensure a good understanding of the content.
