About Asad

I am a Plano TX kid born and raised. My entire life I have been fascinated by science, and have used that drive to get me to the degree I am completing today. I also just adored school, even when it was gross, and felt an affinity for all of my subjects. My dream in life is to teach, so this is like a training ground for my end goal. The thing that excites me the most about teaching is seeing the moment when a student realizes their potential reaches far beyond where they expected. I want to lift the limits we put on ourselves that keep us from achieving our goals. I am very laid back as a person, and love having mature and fun sessions with my students. The education is my top priority, but their happiness and self-satisfaction fall close among the others. As I mentioned previously, I'm experienced in the field, but also am still a student, and as such have an understanding of what you are going through. I also hate memorization, and other strategies that are hammered into our brains in school, so I try to find alternate methods that help stick with the student better. Most of all, I tailor my lessons to each student specifically, and really want to make sure the student feels like they are getting the most out of the lessons too. This means that if things aren't working, I am not shy about pivoting to find a more effective teaching method. In general, I am super fun and driven to help my students achieve their academic goals. For me, teaching is like my way of paying forward all the amazing mentorship and teaching that I have experienced. If I could bestow even a little bit of that onto someone else, I believe it is worth it. If one lesson can give a student the confidence to tackle their subjects, or give them passion, then that is a success in my books.

Hey, my name is Asad. I have roughly 2 years of tutoring experience in many subjects, including science, math, and English! I love teaching others, and helping students grasp concepts that might seem difficult to them. I also love being there for them through their journey, and helping them achieve goals that they may not believe are possible!

My Lessons are typically for any grade and age. I've taught folks from 3rd-5th grade, through middle school and high school, all the way to university level subjects, so I can really help wherever needed.

My method is pretty tailored made to each student I teach, but in essence I like to take a slow approach to make sure not concept is missed. I like to start the roots of lessons at understanding the core theory of something and where that connects with the student the most. If that means mnemonics or real world examples that make it click then fine by me!

I also know the difficulties of grasping some of these concepts from the students perspective. Not only have I been there, but I am still there myself as an engineering student. I deal with a lot of the same issues, and me and my peers help each other out to overcome our obstacles each day. Being a student and seeing the professional world also allows me to see how all the learning we get connects in the grand scheme. I love using my experience at school or on the job to help tie lessons and concepts together!
