About Saby
I have an MS from LSE in Media and Communication. I passed this with a Merit grade in 2021. I am also a mum to an amazing 10 year old. We moved to the UK from America in 2020. We learned about the 11 Plus exams in early 2022 as we didnt live in a Grammar school area in London. I helped my son with the English component of the exams in a short period of time, however, it was stressful and many parents told us it is nearly impossible without a whole year of work and several tutors,mocks etc. My son was successful in passing several Grammars as well as Independent School exams because we helped himlearn strategically.
I want to help others with this process. Most tutors start in Year 3 and Year 4 and charge upwards of 30-40 an hour with large group sizes and little individual attention. I would like to offer small classes ( max 2) and for a low fee.

I prepared my son for exams in relatively less time and I believe the 11 Plus journey doesnot have to take months and years. One needs to not only work hard but also work smart.
My approach is that from the beginning we will target solving papers (Independent school papers, Exam Paper Plus etc.) This way we avoid wasting precious time and resources and get down to the nitty-gritty right from the start.
Every week I will send your child a paper to solve. He/She is required to solve it on their own and send it to me by email. Along with this I will send 10 useful vocabulary words and 10 Spellings.
In the class we will go through the paper together. I will ask them the Vocab words and Spellings.
Every 4 weeks we will have a REVISION session where we revise the 3 papers your child finished and the 30 words and spellings and how and where to use them.
I am certain that this approach will help them master their English requirement for 11 plus within a short time and will help them pass Grammars and Independent School entrance exams.
My fee is only 10 Pounds for a session of one hour each week. I am keeping it this low because I aim to help as many needy children as possible because I know how stressful and isolating this process can be. Please let me know if you cannot afford this and we can discuss. My class will have a maximum of 2 kids at a time because I really want to focus on each child.
